Lantern Making Workshop
10am to 12pm, Saturday, May 26
This workshop guides adults and children (6 and over) through the process of creating a lantern to be used at the community Lantern Walk scheduled for June 2 6 to 8pm or for another occasion.
With instruction by artist Ginny Remedi-Brown, students will transform large 3 liter clear plastic bottles (their tops removed), into delightful colorful lanterns. Using a simple solution of elmer's glue and colored tissue paper and wide paint brushes, students will discover how easy and fun it is to create something beautiful at The Gallery.
Each lantern takes about one hour to make. Come at 10am or 11am. Workshop ends 12pm.
Purchase tickets for every individual making a lantern. Children, $5; Adults $10. Cost covers supplies, time, and space.
Note: children may not be left unaccompanied by an adult.
